The Wright Color Graphics Year 2000 Readiness Program is a company-wide initiative to address the Year 2000 issues and concerns of our customers and business partners. Wright Color Graphics intends to facilitate the transition well before the new millennium by providing up-to-date information and solutions.
This information is made available by the task force established by Wright Color Graphics in order to perform testing and offer solutions. The designated testing is operated in our facilities headed by the MIS department and Quality Assurance Director.
The Wright Color Graphics Year 2000 Program consists of:
1) Awareness and project planning
2) Assessment and impact analysis
3) Testing and solution development
4) Updates and validations
5) Implementation and on-going customer support
As of 05/01/199, all five stages have been successfully implemented at Wright Color Graphics.
The Wright Color Graphics definition of
"Year 2000 Ready" generally means that a product is capable of receiving, outputting and exchanging date information when calculations or processing involve dates in the 20th and 21st centuries. The Year 2000 Ready statement applies to all the software and hardware that Wright Color Graphics uses to serve its customers such as (a) third-party hardware or software products, components or data that are designated and maintained as Year 2000 Ready by the third party supplier (whether or not a confirmation test was done by Wright Color Graphics or a third party) or (b) Year 2000 Ready hardware or software products, components or data that are designed, tested and maintained as Year 2000 Ready by Wright Color Graphics. Our Year 2000 Ready statement does not apply to software products, components or data that are supplied to Wright Color by our clients in which date processing is critical to perform our services.In the beginning of the our assessment program, the MIS department reported that the majority of our hardware and software were already
Year 2000 Ready, but some of the older products were not. Our on-going comprehensive assessment and testing program has already replaced the older products with new Year 2000 Ready solutions and the latest information can be viewed in Year 2000 Assessment Program Status posted in our website at http://www.wrightcolor.com/y2k/. Our current assessment program indicates that 99% of all the products we use to serve our clients are now Year 2000 Ready. The remaining 1% of products that are not Year 2000 Ready were assessed by our Year 2000 task force as of no impact to our clients because date processing by these products have no effect on the output, quality or their performance. The MIS department and Quality Assurance Director concluded that no replacement is needed in these cases. We will be updating our report regularly, and urge you to review it frequently if you have any specific concerns.Many of Wright Color Graphics customers bring their own data to Wright Color Graphics for processing. Our Year 2000 Program has streamlined our workflow to assist clients in evaluating their data for
Year 2000 compliance. If a client’s data fails our validation tests, the client will be notified immediately for any potential impact that this condition will have on the services provided by Wright Color Graphics. Our MIS Department is taking a very pro-active approach in assisting clients with technical support and solutions designed to help our customers assess their Year 2000 Readiness. Our Quality Assurance Director, Sales Team and Production Personnel have been trained to look for possible signs of Year 2000 Incompatibilities.The Wright Color Graphics Year 2000 Program aims to determine and convey the ability of third-party supplied computer systems and products to accurately process date information for our clients as we approach the year 2000. For Wright Color Graphics-supplied products that involve third-party suppliers (hardware or software, at either the component or product level), Wright Color Graphics is working with these parties to draw information about the relevance of the problem, and, where necessary, to achieve a solution.
